Tornado warning active in Watauga County
WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. — A tornado warning was issued late Wednesday night for Watauga County, North Carolina.
The NWS reports the tornado was moving north at 20 mph from Grandfather Mountain State Park. The following cities and towns were expected to face impacts from the tornado:
Appalachian State University was among the locations expected to be affected.
